DSK smoke duct sections have passed certification

In the construction sector, it is important to use safe and certified products that can save lives in case of fire. In our range we can already offer smoke duct sections of the DSK type, which are classified as Single room protection E600120 (ho) S1500 according LST EN 13501-4 standard. UAB MK Technika performed tests of smoke duct sections in the independent laboratory FIRES s.r.o in Slovakia and certified and received the CE mark for this product at the Fire Research Center of the Fire Protection and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior.
The smoke duct sections are designed to remove smoke and hot gases during or after a fire. Removing smoke from the room and letting in clean air allows people to evacuate the room. Fire departments can detect the fire faster and put it out.
DSK smoke duct sections are used for the installation of single compartment smoke extraction ducts. The smoke duct sections are tested for up to 2 hours at a temperature of +600 ºC, when the system can have a pressure of +500 Pa or - 1500 Pa. Single compartment smoke duct sections DSK can only be installed in a horizontal position.
Product requirements: LST EN 12101-7 Smoke and heat control systems. Part 7: Smoke duct sections.
Test method: LST EN 1366-9 Fire resistance tests for service installation – Part 9: Single compartment smoke extraction ducts.
Classification: LST EN 13501-4 Fire classification of construction products and building elements – Part 4: Classification using data from fire resistance tests on components of smoke control systems.

These smoke duct sections are only part of the overall fire system. The design and installation must be carried out with the help of fire safety experts.
DSK smoke ducts can be used to ensure:
  • 2 hours of continuous hot gas removal
  • reduce the indoor temperature
  • create a layer of clean air
